Occasional table

A bespoke made, contemporary small table that helps tell a fishy 'tale'! This table was made for a holiday cottage located in one of the old pilchard fishing cellars at Port Gaverne. It is made from reclaimed oak, an upcycled birchwood lampshade, together with some retro hairpin strut legs. The 'cut out' painting on the top depicts how, historically, pilchards used to be packed in salt in oak barrels. Copper nails finish the 'barrel' design off to reflect traditional clinker built boat building.
