Commissions - Terms & conditions
We would be thrilled to hear from you to discuss any commissioned work if you have a particular need or are inspired by anything you have seen in my portfolio of past and recent projects. Here are my terms & conditions relating to commissioned work.
1. Scope of Work
All artworks, crafts, homewares, furniture and woodwork are created by WaveCraft Woodwork, Art, Design and are original unless otherwise stated. Any custom orders will be produced according to the agreed design and specifications outlined in the brief. A written summary of the agreed scope of work will be shared with the client which should be jointly confirmed before work starts. Where applicable I will provide client updates on progress and agreed milestones.
2. Pricing & Payment
-
An estimated quotation will be provided following the brief and costs will be included on the shared scope of works.
-
Any variance to the quotation for final payments must be agreed in writing by both parties (email accepted). Variances would arise due to significant changes to the scope of works/brief or specification resulting in additional materials and labour, or due to un-forseen site conditions.
-
Commission values under £100.00 require payment in full before production/delivery.
-
Commission values above £100.00 require 50% payment upfront before production begins and this is a non-refundable deposit should the client withdraw.
-
Final balance in full must be received before delivery or collection.
-
For bespoke items requiring installation on site I am happy to accept a reasonable clients’ retention amount of 5-10% of commission value until you are completely happy with the finished result and any required snagging has been picked up.
-
Where percentage deposits are requested, two invoices will be sent one for the deposit due now, another when final payment(s) is due
-
Payment (non Etsy shop purchases) should be made by BACS:
Mr M R Simmonds, Barclays Bank Account: 23419398. Sort Code: 20-25-36
Please use the invoice number as reference. Cheques are also acceptable, if required, posted to: M R Simmonds, Mill Park, Withielgoose Mills, Bodmin, Cornwall. PL30 5LT
3. Revisions
-
Minor revisions at design stage and still within brief are included at no extra cost
-
Major changes to the scope of works / brief that entail more time, materials sourcing and design amendments are not included. Additional costs charged at £25.00 per hour plus materials will be outlined in writing before progressing.
-
Alterations and changes off-brief after production starts, and beyond normal ‘snagging’ after completion are not included. Additional costs charged at £25.00 per hour plus materials will be outlined in writing before progressing.
4. Delivery & Collection and installation
-
Estimated delivery dates will be provided but are not guaranteed.
-
The client must provide details of any desired or absolute deadline dates which should then be agreed to in the scope of works. The time given should be reasonable for completion depending scope of the commission. -
For local collection, items must be picked up within 30 days of completion.
